✦ Synopsis
binant adenoviral vector expressing the wild-type FHIT gene. The new methodology we developed for assay of FHIT Ap 3 A hydrolase activity by TLC fluorescent image analysis offers the following advantages over conventional assay methods: (i) no radioactive materials involved; (ii) high sensitivity of fluorescent analysis; (iii) rapid and simultaneous TLC fluorescent imaging and quantitative reporting; (iv) low cost compared to the custom radioactive labeling of substrate; and (v) could be applied for assaying activities of other Ap n A hydrolases in the cells.
