✦ Synopsis
In the title centrosymmetric mononuclear copper(II) compound, [Cu(C 14 H 22 N 2 O) 2 ](ClO 4 ) 2 , the Cu II atom is coordinated by two N atoms and two O atoms from two Schiff base ligands. The coordination geometry is slightly distorted square-planar. The disordered perchlorate anions are hydrogen bonded to the cation via NÐHÁ Á ÁO hydrogen bonds.

The title compound, [ZnBr~2~(C~11~H~16~N~2~O)], is a mononuclear Schiff base zinc(II) complex. The Zn^II^ atom is four-coordinated by one phenolate O and one imine N atom of the Schiff base ligand, and by two bromide anions, forming a tetrahedral coordination.
