โฆ Synopsis
AImtract.--Tricbothecolone biosynthesized in the presence of doubly labeled mevalonate, [4(R)+'H,Z-'*C]MVA, was degraded to show that the carbon atom at position 8 originated from C,,, of mevalonic acid. Two minor cytotoxic metabolites were isolated from 7Ikhothecium roseum and their biogenetic relation to trichothecin is shown.
