β¦ Synopsis
some propylene are carried out at the site. Central to Tosoh's initiative are zirconia powder and high-silica zeolites, for which new factories at Yokkaichi were completed in Mar 2009 to supplement production at the company's Nanyo complex. Commercial-scale production of zirconia is expected to start soon. Tosoh is also pushing ahead with development of novel products with functions not usually related to petrochemical products.

## Abstract This study compares centralized processing to distributed processing of biomass for subsequent production of FischerβTropsch liquids (FTLs) at a centralized catalytic synthesis facility. Distributed processing in this study is based on fast pyrolysis to bioβoils, which are more economic
## Abstract __Existing technologies to produce liquid fuels from biomass are typically energyβintensive, multistep processes. Many of these processes use edible biomass as starting material. Carbohydrates, such as monoβ and polysaccharides and cellulose, typically constitute 50β80β% of plant biomas
Biomass is distributed over extensive areas. Therefore, transportation cost is a critical factor in planning new biomass power plants. This paper presents a case study of using remote sensing and geographical information systems (GIS) to evaluate the feasibility of setting up new biomass power plant
