## Abstract Sarcosine was suggested in a letter to __Nature__ in 2009 as a biomarker for prostate cancer. This communication reviews what has been accomplished to date to determine whether sarcosine is or is not a biomarker for prostate cancer that can replace prostate‐specific antigen tests.
