โฆ Synopsis
Bioluminescence and Chemiluminescence Literature
The Journal will provide comprehensive literature searches which will be published in most issues.
In this the first issue, part of the literature for 1985 is given in the designated sections and sub-sections. Subsequent issues of the Journal will contain the balance of the 1985 publications. The literature will appear under the following sections:
- BIOLUMINESCENCE 2. CHEMILUMINESCENCE 3. APPLICATIONS -BIOLUMINESCENCE 4. APPLICATIONS -CHEMILUMINESCENCE 5. CELLULAR LUMINESCENCE 6. INSTRUMENTATION 7. PATENTS INVOLVING BIOLUMINESCENCE AND CHEMILUMINESCENCE Databases searched include Chemical Abstracts, Biological Abstracts, Index Medicus, and World Patents Index. Only publications in the English Language have been retrieved. Listings of publications in other languages will appear in future issues.
The lists of papers are divided by sub-sections and papers are given sequential unique numbers commencing at the beginning of the list and continuing at the top of the list in the next and subsequent issues of the Journal.
Papers which fall into more than one sub-section are quoted in full in the first relevant sub-section but in subsequent sub-sections they are referred t o by their unique numbers. The 1985 Literature: Part I (compiled by L. J. Kricka and P. E. Stanley) 1. BIOLUMINESCENCE (BIOLOGY, CHEMISTRY) 1.2 Bacteria (Beneckea, Vibrio, etc.) Bacterial luciferase: demonstration of a catalytically competent altered conformational state following a single turnover Membrane-bound 5'-nucleotidase in marine luminous bacteria: biochemical and immunological properties Functional identification of the fatty acid reductase components encoded in the luminescence operon of Vibrio fischeri Purification and characterization of a bioluminescence-related fatty acyl esterase from Vibrio harveyi Nucleotide sequence of the IuxA gene of Vibrio harveyi and the complete amino acid sequence of the alpha subunit of bacterial luciferase
