✦ Synopsis
Abstract
By X‐ray crystallographic analysis of desulfated asterosaponin P~1~ the absolute configuration at C‐24 in the aglycone moiety is confirmed. The unique conformation of the side chain part possessing the carbohydrate moiety is also revealed. This is the first report of an X‐ray crystallographic analysis of a steroid glycoside whose carbohydrate moiety is located in the C‐17 side chain.
