The essential oil from flower heads of Egletes viscosa L. was investigated for possible antinociceptive, anticonvulsant effects in mice and for antibacterial efficacy against resistant Staphylococcus aureus in vitro. It was found to possess a significant dose-dependent analgesic activity as assessed
