## Abstract The dichotomous spermatogenesis of many Lepidopterans results in the production of two types of sperm: eupyrene sperm possessing a cell nucleus which participates in fertilisation, and apyrene ones, which lose their nuclei during development and whose function remains a mystery. The goa
