The biodistribution of four 99mTc labelled MDP preparations with different stabilizing agents were studied in young rats. The study was performed with MDP gentisic acid as a standard versus MDP ascorbic acid and MDP PABA. All results were tested statistically by the Wilcoxon-van-Eltern test.

The localization of 99mTc(Sn)-MDP in bone tissue was compared with 99mTc-MDP by means of microautoradiography of undecalcified bone sections. Sections of good histological quality were obtained by a rapid embedding method in methylmethacrylate. No differences were found in the localization of these

We have investigated the clinical efficacy for the detection of bone metastases of two recently marketed bone-seeking radiopharmaceuticals, HDP and DPD, compared with traditionally used MDP. Twenty patients received 15 mCi 99mTc-MDP; after assessment ten of these patients later received 15 mCi 99mTc
