โœฆ Synopsis

A real-time, point-type sensor has been developed for early warning of threat bio-aerosols. The sensor, which is based on laser-induced-fluorescence detection of aerosol particles, incorporates two spectral channels for discrimination of threat aerosols from background aerosols. Field tests at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah, in September 1997 showed that the sensor can detect threat bio-aerosols at a concentration of 5-10 particles per liter of air and can discriminate threat aerosol from natural background aerosols. แฎŠ
