8] Thls nomenclature proposal corresponds to the term "pentaphyrin". introduced by Rerhausen and Gossauer [9], for porphyrin-like cyclic pentapyrroles. Accordingly, the porphyrinogen analogues of cyclic pentapyrroles are called "pentaphyrinogens". Since 10 differs from these in the inversion of the five pyrrole rings, it is called an "inverto-pentaphyrinogen".
