✦ Synopsis

April 1665. Edwin and Robert Tinker, two brothers, have made the long journey from their small coastal town to the big city. Their purpose is to sell every fish they carry or risk the shame of returning as failures. How difficult can it be? Their elder brothers did it the year before. Except one returned mortally ill and the other gave warnings of London before they departed. But they had sold every fish.

Wary of its people, the supposed Lord of the Flies and the other dangers associated with a fast-paced city, Robert and Edwin must also contend with the cut-throat world that is Billingsgate fish market.
