After that, Mia Stevens enters one of the worst times of her life, losing matches and brand deals, and slipping into depression without the hope of ever coming out of it. Her only respite? Meaningless sex with her girlfriend, Alexa, daughter of a Utah Senetor.
Olivia Stone was Lily Stevens' former doubles partner, and together, they were one of the greatest doubles pair in the world, winning grand slams and Olympic medals. A falling apart 15 years ago which left Olivia's heart shattered made her vow never to speak to Lily again, retire from tennis, and open a little restaurant on a beach in an isolated beachtown.
