โฆ Synopsis
In 1985 the Editorial Board of the Journal initiated an award for the best paper published in each year. We are honoured that so many authors of excellent papers should choose t o publish their material in this Journal and it was felt that the making of such an award would be a fitting recognition of the best among these papers.
The procedure followed in choosing the winning paper was the same as that used in 1985. At the end of the year nominations were sought from members of the Editorial Board and Reviewers of each paper published during the year had also been asked for nominations. The list of nominations was circulated to all members of the Editorial Board, who voted for the paper considered to be most worthy of the award. As before, papers where a member of the Editorial Board was an author were eligible, although the member could neither nominate nor vote for his own paper.
After careful consideration by the Editorial Board we are pleased to announce that the winner of the 'International Journal of Circuit Theory and Applications Best Paper Award for 1986' is: M. Hasler, 'Non-Linear Non-Reciprocal Resistive Circuits with a Structurally Unique Solution', A number of excellent papers were in strong contention for the award and we would like to offer our congratulations to the successful author.
