✦ Synopsis

Formation o/Acetate Ester o/2-(indole-3)ethanot in Yeasts Summary. 2-([ndole-3)ethylacetate was detected in cultures of Hansenula anomala, and Torulopsis utilis (Candida utilis) incubated with iudole-3-acetaldehyde and indole-3-ethanol. The substance was identified by thin layer chromatography, Ig-, UV-and NMg-spectra and by comparison with authentic material. The optimal conditions for synthesis of the new indole derivative in fermentation liquors were investigated.
