The star of the Durchmusterung, Zone + 0" No. 2910, proves to be a variable --a fact, I believe, not bcfore observed; I have compared it with the stars of the same zone KO. 291 I and 2914 which are i n the same telescopic field. I have taken as a grade one seventh of the diiierence between these stars and my obsei-vations give the following results. May 2 : 1 2 grades, May 2 1 : I , and on the succeeding days to the 27. as
