It so happened that during these Comet Observations some experiments were iristitutcd to determine the relative efficierrcy of the two mirrors A and B belonging to the telescope. T h e Comet wiis therefore observed with that niirror At 91136"58'8 4 South 18,388 Rev. At loh 6 ' 7"2 A% which occupied the tube at the time. Not having precisely the same focus; the talue o f one Revolution OF the Micrometer with A is 10'85449 and with B 10'752.
