✦ Synopsis

The title compound, C 25 H 40 N 2 O 5 , was synthesized in 55.9% yield by condensation of N-methyl-l-leucine benzyl ester toluene sulfonic acid with tert-butoxycarbonyl-l-leucine at 273 K and its crystal structure determined. The dipeptide derivative conjugates through the amide linkage and includes two protecting groups, a tert-butyloxycarbonyl group at the Ctip and a benzyl group at the N-tip.
