Benefits of automated foam gasketing

As industries continue to look at ways to reduce their costs, more and more processes are being automated, and the application of gaskets is no exception. In this article, Steve Shelby and Scott Cornman, from Nordson Corporation, outline the benefits of automated gasketing, particularly foam-in-place (FIP) technology, over traditional processes such as die-cut and foam tape and explain the different types of automatic gasketing techniques. The use of automated gasket& systems has increased dramatically in recent years.
