โœฆ Synopsis


With the idea of validating the curved Fermi-chopper (FC) module developed for the software package VITESS, we simulated an instrument very similar to the high-energy transfer spectrometer at ISIS. In particular, the resolution function of the instrument is investigated. Here we present bench-marking calculations, as a first step in establishing design-criteria for Fermi-chopper instruments.
