Abstract
Several syntheses of 4,5‐dihydro‐10 H‐benzo[5,6]‐cyclohepta[1, 2‐b]thiophen‐10‐one (I b) are described. The pharmacological properties of the compounds XIII, which derive from IB through basic substitution on position 10, are briefly mentioned.
