โœฆ Synopsis

A numerical model to describe the behaviour of confined prestressed concrete beams is presented. The model was developed using the Finite Element Method and it is suitable for the analysis of bonded and unbonded prestressed concrete beams subjected to monotonic short term loading. Numerical results are compared with experimental data obtained at the Structures Laboratory of the University of Tucumfin (Argentina).

The behaviour of class-3 type prestressed concrete beams, at the limit states of cracking, deflexion and collapse are investigated by experiments on pretensioned beams with mild steel as supplementary reinforcement. ## Probability of Failure Concrete Beams Paper presents prediction of probability of failure of pre.stressed concrete beams. Probable strengths of basic materials used in the beam are g~enerated as random z,ariables sub/ect to code spec(tfcations and the probability qf failure of the beam is obtai
