✦ Synopsis

Sunmmry---A dynamic model for multilayered beams under impact loading is proposed. The model is based on Timoshenko beam theory but accommodates interlayer slip. Different impact loads as well as different interracial situations are investigated. The transient behaviour of a two-layered beam is determined by the characteristic method solution of the dynamic governing equations. The results are found to be in close agreement with the finite element analysis code ABAQUS.

In this paper, an exact dynamic stiffness element under the frame work of finite element approximation is presented to study the dynamic response of multi-span structures under a convoy of moving loads. A dynamic model coupled with a FFT algorithm is developed. The model is highly efficient for calc
