Annie Lee doesnβt like the word βghost,β but whatever is going on isnβt making things easier for her and Mama. It doesnβt help that Mama works around the clock, barely making ends meet, and Annie Leeβs best friends ditched her over the summer. Sheβs starting middle school without a soul to sit by at lunch β until she meets tough skater girl Mitch. But after Ray goes missing, finding him means breaking a promise to Mitch. Faced with once again losing the people that mean the most to her, Annie Lee will have to make a choice: hide under the invisibility cloak thatβs been keeping her safe, or risk admitting how much she needs Mitch and Ray, even if it means she might get hurt.
