In this article, a component of the Racial‐Cultural Counseling Competence model, introduced by R.T. Carter (1995), is described. The Racial‐Cultural Counseling Laboratory course is presented to provide readers with an understanding of a cognitive, behavioral, and affective integrative approach to racial‐cultural competence training.
