Loretta Maradona is the heir of her house, set to one day inherit her mother’s title of duquesa and rise to prominence among the peerage of the Queendom of Freutsche. She is capable, headstrong, and pure of spirt. An exemplary young diamond souled woman. Until she is betrayed, cast down, and transformed.

Rampant beasts, women of impure spirit who have been consumed by the power of the seeds of creation and driven mad with bloodlust, roam the wilderness. Only the knight keepers keep the queendoms safe, binding their spirits together with those of the beast’s. In doing so, they restore the beast’s sanity and enforce her loyalty. Beasts bound to knight keepers are the greatest weapons of any queendom.

Bound to a mercenary who has lost everything and possessed of a mission of his own, Loretta must come to terms with both her new station and incredible new abilities, all while trying to reclaim her humanity. If she can become human again, then maybe she can save her family, and the queendom from the greatest threat any have ever known.
