IBM Paris chooses Edwards for 16MB line

Edwards High Vacuum has just shipped a further order to IBM, France, comprising two-hundredand-forty iQ pumps, sixty-seven M150 Gas Reactor Columns (GRC) and a number of STP301CVB and STPH1000C magnetically levitated turbomolecular pumps. These will be incorporated in the new networked vacuum pump system facility on the 64 Mb DRAM manufacturing plant at Corbeil-Essonne, south of Paris. There are six-hundred drypumps and fourteen GRCs on the site, which is now 100% Edwards, with a team of on-site engineers who are on call twenty-four hours a day to ensure maximum uptime of this new, important manufacturing facility. Continuing success in overseas markets has recently been recognised by Edwards' fifth Queen's Award; its second for Export Achievement. Having increased export business by some 50% per year for the past three years, exports now stand at 90% of the company's output.
