โฆ Synopsis
Authors have different views on what attributes form a well-respected leader. The three books included in this book review-Be the Hero, Leaders Make the Future, and Women Lead the Way-propose aspects of transformational leadership, and a variety of perspectives and approaches on how to be a better leader. The first approach, as Blumenthal (2009) states, may include consideration of changing one's perspectives and three secrets to practice daily at work and in life in order to be more successful. A second approach, according to Johansen (2009), may indicate the ability of leaders to strategically plan for the future by embracing ten new leadership skills. According to Tarr-Whelan ( 2009), a third approach to being a better leader may require the "30% solution"-the breaking point, where real changes tend to occur if there is 30% women representation at the top of an organization. These books are unique, as opinions about the content are formed, based on one's own experiences of thought leadership, and reflection of one's own philosophy of transformational leadership.
