I was disappointed with a book that I had expected to be a useful introduction to Matlab, Simulink, and Stateflow. The book contains little information that is not in the on-line help. It is not helpful to a student trying to learn to use these powerful programs. I had expected this book to be an in

✦ Synopsis
This book is distinctive as it takes a practical, hands-on approach to programming in MATLAB® and modeling in Simulink® and Stateflow® for aerospace and other engineering applications. The materials support a MATLAB®/Simulink® course designed to take approximately forty hours. However, the material is designed to be modular and thus flexible for use in a variety of teaching and time formats, or for self-study. Professors and industrial trainers will find the materials most useful when used in a computer laboratory environment, with the students working on the examples along with the instructor. The student is not required to have any particular technical background or past experience with MATLAB®, Simulink® or Stateflow®, yet users familiar with either software tool will also find these materials useful. The materials covered within this book were generated using Version 7.3 of MATLAB®, Simulink® Version 6.5 and Stateflow® Version 6.5.
