โœฆ Synopsis

The paper deals with the basic geometrical properties of exact optimal two-component non-layered composite plates. These properties are studied by considering exact analytical solutions for perforated plates and plane trusses, which are shown to be special cases of composite plates. In his concluding remarks, the author also reviews critically general trends in the optimization of composite structures.

Abstrae~This paper reports the results of an experimental and numerical study of the optimal geometric arrangement of staggered parallel plates in a fixed volume with forced convection heat transfer. The objective of the geometric optimization effort is to maximize the total heat transfer rate betwe
