Süd-Chemie AG agreed to purchase BASF's catalysts production plant, sited in Nanjing, China. The business is being sold because it does not sit well with BASF's other Chinese operations. Over 30 types of syngas catalysts are manufactured at the Nanjing facilities. Süd-Chemie has bought the business in order to grow its catalyst operations in Asia.
