The marketing drive in China is led by the company's Shanghai representative office, and in Southeast Asia and India by its Singapore representative office. Nonanol, a C9 straight-chain fatty alcohol, is traditionally sold in Japan and Europe as a cosmetic ingredient but Kyowa Hakko is now eyeing new markets such as India.
