✦ Synopsis

Abstract

Based on clues taken from the design of antenna arrays, multibranching techniques are used to expand the frequency performance of slotted waveguide power amplifiers. Both simulated and measured results reveal that the use of a corporate feed network may improve the bandwidth of the linear slotted amplifier by up to 50%. © 2002 John Wiley & Sons, Inc. ## Abstract A novel open slot antenna for bandwidth enhancement is presented. The bandwidth enhancement of the proposed antenna is achieved by cutting two notches along the invert‐L shape open slot in the ground plane. The frequency range of the proposed antenna is from 2.3 to 10.9 GHz, which can c
