✦ Synopsis
Abstract
A novel electromagnetic bandgap (EBG) circuit with a single cell, using a microstrip isosceles triangular patch inserted to the microstrip line, with wideband tuning capability is successfully demonstrated. Both measured and simulated results confirm that the stopband characteristics can easily be controlled by the slot dimensions. Moreover, the proposed EBG structure is simple and compact for MMIC applications. © 2003 Wiley Periodicals, Inc.
