## Abstract In this article, a novel hexagon substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) dual‐band filter is presented.First, the formula for calculating the resonant frequency of the dominant mode in triangle SIW cavity is given, then the triangle SIW cavity is used to construct a novel hexagon filter, w

Abstract
The effects of embedding SRR into a substrate of microstrip line are investigated, in particular in transmission. The simulation and experimental results show band‐stop property of the device. Also, reduced radiation loss and device volume are achieved by applying the image theory from a symmetric SRR. © 2007 Wiley Periodicals, Inc. ## Abstract In this article, we proposed a new compact defected ground structure (DGS) band‐stop filter with broad passband and low insertion loss in the stop‐band. The philosophy of the structure behind this new microstrip band‐stop filter is simple as it is composed of a pair of octagonal DGS‐slo
## Abstract The folded substrate‐integrated waveguide (FSIW) takes the advantages of more compact size and higher integration than the conventional SIW structures, probably resulting in a very compact design. One simple narrow‐slot bandpass filter is thus proposed and implemented to demonstrate the
