The third fascicle of the first part of volume 3 of Athanasius’ Works continues the publication of documents relating to the history of the Arian conflict, carrying on the work started by Hans-Georg Opitz in 1934 and 1935.
The fascicle contains inter alia the texts from the Synods of Antioch 326/27, Jerusalem 335, Rome and Antioch 338-341 and the Ekthesis makrostichos; it is accompanied by a detailed introduction on the chronology of the beginnings of the Arian heresy, a German translation of the documents already published, and a bibliography and reference index.
