## Abstract This study examined the effectiveness of a new adsorbent prepared from banana (__Musa paradisiaca__) stalk, one of the abundantly available lignocellulosic agrowastes, in removing Pb(II) and Cd(II) ions from aqueous solutions. The adsorbent (PGBS‐COOH) having a carboxylate functional gr
