This paper presents three kinds of balanced fractional 3 m factorial designs of resolution IV such that (A) all the main e ects and the linear by linear and the linear by quadratic components of the two-factor interactions are estimable, (B) all the main e ects and the linear by linear ones of the two-factor interactions are estimable, and (C) all the main e ects are estimable. They are derived from balanced arrays of full strength.
