The bactericidal and fungicidal activities of aspyrone and asperlactone, secondary metabolites of Aspergillus ochraceus, and some aspyrone derivatives were studied. In general, aspyrone exhibited better activity than asperlactone or aspyrone derivatives. The inhibition patterns of the assayed compou
