โฆ Synopsis
The most recent results obtained by the BABAR experiment at the PEP-II asymmetric-energy B Factory at SLAC on CP-violating asymmetries and branching fractions for neutral and charged B decays are presented here. The analysis was performed on a data sample of โผ 88 million ฮฅ (4S) โ BB decays collected between 1999 and 2002. Using b โ ccs decays, we measure sin2ฮฒ = 0.741 ยฑ 0.067 (stat) ยฑ 0.034 (syst). We also present sin2ฮฒ measurements from, b โ sss and b โ ccd processes. From neutral B meson decays to two-body final states of charged pions and kaons, we derive for the CP violating parameters, Sฯฯ = 0.02 ยฑ 0.34 ยฑ 0.05 [-0.54, +0.58] and Cฯฯ = -0.30 ยฑ 0.25 ยฑ 0.04 [-0.72, +0.12]. First results for B โ ฯ + ฯ -ฯ 0 and K ยฑ ฯ โ ฯ 0 final states dominated by the ฯ ยฑ resonance, are also presented. ELSEVIER Nuclear Physics B (Proc. Suppl.) 117 (2003) 98-110
