## Abstract This article presents the results of theoretical study of the axial structure of gas discharge that is sustained by a non‐symmetric electromagnetic surface wave (SW) with azimuth wavenumber __m__ = –2. The phase and attenuation characteristics of the wave, and the spatial wave field str
