This is the second series of Warpaint. This series was similar to the first, but included colour illustrations and covered a wider range of aircraft types. The series focuses on military aircraft from the Second World War onwards, with an emphasis on the markings carried. Each book contains a concise written history of the subject covered, illustrated with colour and b+w photographs - together with colour profiles and colour multi-view drawings. The centre pages are devoted to a 1:72 scale 5-view line drawings, with numerous scrap view of variants and details. A chapter on operators and markings is included. Appendices tabulate units, serial numbers, tail codes etc.
