The design of sloped concrete spread footings, conforming to the proposed requirements of the new AC1 Building Code 318-71 is presented. ,4 computer program for automatic design is explained. Results are compared with flat concrete spread footings, proving sloped .footings to be considerably more economical for low soil pressures.
