โœฆ Synopsis

A novel two-dimensional intensity-type optical fiber reflective sensor is presented. Theoretically, the two-dimensional characteristic function of the sensor is deduced. The theoretical characteristic curves compared with experimental results are given. The results show that the two-dimensional sensor can automatically compensate for variations in light source intensity and changes in the reflectivity of the measuring target.

## Abstract The intensityโ€modulationโ€based displacement sensor with two receiving fibers is theoretically and experimentally studied. Themathematical model of the proposed sensor is developed and the simulated responses are obtained to be in a good agreement with the experimental results. Compared
