โฆ Synopsis
A novel two-dimensional intensity-type optical fiber reflective sensor is presented. Theoretically, the two-dimensional characteristic function of the sensor is deduced. The theoretical characteristic curves compared with experimental results are given. The results show that the two-dimensional sensor can automatically compensate for variations in light source intensity and changes in the reflectivity of the measuring target.

## Abstract The intensityโmodulationโbased displacement sensor with two receiving fibers is theoretically and experimentally studied. Themathematical model of the proposed sensor is developed and the simulated responses are obtained to be in a good agreement with the experimental results. Compared
