✦ Synopsis

Automatic amplitude and phase equalization of "n" sinusoidal signals of the same frequency w are studied. To demonstrate the technique, jirst amplitude and phase equalization of "two" such signals are considered and then the method is extendedfor the "nsignal" case. It will be seen that the proposed technique is very straightforward and accurate and does not involve any approximation or limitation on amplitudes, phase angles and the frequency o of signak. Also, no instability problem is encountered if "three" simple rules are observed. An anaIogue computer simulation for the "2-signal" case is presented, which shows how accurate and attractive the method is.

This paper advances a new method which can correct the spectrum peak value of the rms spectrum in order to decrease the errors that exist when the spectral line is not on the peak. The authors first use the barycentre of spectral lines in the main lobe to obtain the coordinate of the spectrum peak.
