โœฆ Synopsis

On show from Auto-trol at NCGA '82 was their newly released 32-bit CAD-CAM system, the GS-32. The system runs on VAX machines and is available either as a turnkey system or to run on users' own hardware. Other system hardware includes the CC-80 two-screen workstation.

The software (which supports 3D design, though not solids modelling) can be interfaced with the ANSYS FE analysis package from Swanson's Analysis Systems, Incorporated. Appli-โ€ข cations of the system include NC part program generation, nesting and pattern development.

Also available is the AGW/advanced graphics workstation), a turnkey 32-bit standalone workstation with a US price of under $80 000. The AGW is available with either monochrome or colour display. Hardware includes a 33 Mbyte Winchester disc and 1.2 Mbyte floppy. Up to 100 AGWs may be linked together in a local area network, or to a central database.

Auto-trol Technology Corporation has decided to end its UK marketing agreement with Davy Computing Limited. From now on, it will do its own European marketing. Existing customers {who include several Davy Companies) will be supported by Davy Computing and Auto-trol during the change-over period. (Auto-
