Five years ago the ,,Allgemeine Krankenblattkopf" (standard medical Record) was introduced at the Pediatric Hospital of Che University of Cologne.

Since then several computer aided data processing methods were developed which improved hospital statistics and proved helpfull in research work. Special attention was given to an authomatie recording of any statistical relevant change in the distribution of diagnosis.
