UCH HAS been written about the results M of initial surgical treatment of cancer of the ovary, and the reported over-all 5-year salvage rate varies between 25 and 30%. But patients who, after operation, have recurrences in the form of pelvic and abdominal metastases or who are first seen in this advanced stage of the disease present an incurable situation.
