The atomic heat of iron has been measured between 1.1 and 20.4'K. The results are in agreement with the law C, = y T + bTS, with y = 1.20 x 1 O+ cal/mol. deg.' and b = 4.70 x lo+ cal/mol deg'. This value of b corresponds to a characteristic temperature of 462°K. The value of y is discussed from the
